Trench Shoring – This NUCA Competent Person Seminar covers the CAL-OSHA Title 8, Section 1540 through 1541.1 requirements pertaining to excavations, trenching and sloping techniques, protective systems and soils classification. You will leave this course with a certification card allowing you to dig deeper than four feet.

ANNUALLY

A PLUMBER'S GUIDE TO PUMPS - This class will cover Theory, Sizing and Installation of sump, sewage, circulating, well and booster pumps.

SEPTIC TANKS – Private disposal systems including: Septic tanks, cesspools, leach fields and prefabricated septic tanks. See Calendar for class dates

RAYPACK BOILERS– AQMD standards. Design and construction. Atmosphere vs. lo-nox and piping designs. This class will be followed with a question and answer forum.

MATH REFRESHER CLASS
A class for everyone. This 8-week class will go over basic math operations, decimals, fractions 45° offsets & measurements, triangle & circle and mark-up vs. profit.

LARGE BORE COPPER BRAZING
This classroom and hands-on training will enable you to install and repair large size copper pipe. Each student needs to bring: A32 tip, Sand cloth, Safety goggles, a round metal file and a B Tank (oxycetylene).

POLYETHYLENE GAS PIPE FUSION TRAINING & CERTIFICATION FOR UNDERGROUND GAS PIPE
This hands-on class will give you the certification required to install Polyethylene Gas Pipe.

BACKFLOW DEVICE TESTING REFRESHER COURSE
This course will prepare the tester for the Los Angeles County Health Department Certification. Equipment to bring: Rigid clear tube, differential pressure gauge, ¼” bleed valve, three (3) ¼” IPS x 45º SAE flare connector (brass), Adapter fitting for each test cock size brass 1/8” x ¼”, ¼” x ½”, ¼” x ¾”, Ells Street ell, pipe nipple, hand tools to perform test.
